Old Man Winter

February is just around the corner and it is the worst month of the year for me. I always get a little down in February, dreaming of green grass, the smell of fresh flowers blooming and lazy days at the lake. I know it is just around the corner, but I still just can't wait for spring. Good thing February is a short month! Thank goodness for the girls, they are going to make February not so depressing this year :-)

Who's your Mommy?

Alyssa is such a little mommy. She always wants to "help" with Bella. She wants to change her diaper, feed her and rock her to sleep. She knows Bella's schedule too. When I am making dinner for Alyssa, she will say "sister hungry too". When we get ready in the morning to go to grandma's, she helps put Bella's coat and boots on. She is such a sweet and patient 2 year old.

Trick Photography

Since I am the photographer (and I use that term loosely) around here, I have very few pictures of me and the girls. That bums me out - so this is what I end up with:

I guess it is better than nothing. At least now they will know I was around when they grow up.

Toofers

Briella's first two teeth popped through this week - we call them toofers around here. I remember not too long ago when toofers meant a whole different thing - I would of spelled it "twofors" back then. Ahhh, those were the days - but I wouldn't change a thing!

Brrrrr

Just like today it was a very cold day three years ago. It was a day that most people would of stayed home in their cozy pajamas and curled up on their couch.  Who in their right mind gets married in January?!?! I am sure that is what all of our friends and family were thinking when they had to leave their warm house to attend our wedding. That very cold day turned out to be one of the three best days of my life!!!

Did I miss something?

Bella does not like to miss anything!!! She will crank her head and contort her body just to make sure she can see what is going on. She also does not like to go to sleep when she is tired. She will fight it 'til the very end, she wants to be in the action all the time - I wonder where she gets that from?!?!?!

Potty Time

Five days in a row on the potty - way to go Alyssa. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of you!!!

She Said - She Said

Alyssa and Briella are two of a kind - they love to copy each other. Now at times this can be really cute and at other times not so cute.

Cute: When Briella was learning to sit up she would fall over onto a pillow, Alyssa would sit down next to her and say "Sa (alyssa) turn" and she would fall over onto the pillow.

Not so cute: Briella spits up on her blanket, Alyssa spits on the blanket.

Cute: Briella rolls over to her stomach, Alyssa rolls around on the floor.

Not so cute: Briella crys and screams in the car because she is hungry, Alyssa crys and screams because it is funny to copy Bella

Actually, I have to admit it is all pretty cute - except maybe for the last one.

Little reader

Alyssa loves books, always has. Briella is following in her footsteps, if I take a book from her she throws a little baby fit. I guess there are worse things for them to be into. Alyssa has now taken to "reading" to her sister, it is just way too cute.

Cancer sucks!!!

Grandma you are the strongest person I know! Once again, you will beat this damn thing. I love you!!!

Milestones

Disclaimer: This blog will mainly be about our baby girls, so if you can't stomach stories about poo, spit up, hair pulling and screaming fits - I suggest you move on.

Today was a big day for Alyssa Joy, she went #2 on the potty chair. She told Grandma Cathy "tummy hurt hurry potty" and the rest is history. Ahhhh, my little girl is growing up so fast. Before I know it she will be locking herself in her room and screaming she hates me - well, hopefully she won't be to much like her mama.

I am so new at this!

Ok, so I follow other blogs and thought "Hey why don't I try that?" So here I am trying it. I am not sure yet how to work everything so bear with me as I learn. I am hoping this will keep the family up to date on all the goings on with the girls ;-) That is if you are interested. Stay tuned, there will be more once I figure this out.
